I'm a portrait photographer with more than 30 years of experience creating portraits that tell stories, celebrate connections, and become treasured memories.

I began my career by earning a degree in design from the Fashion Institute of Technology and studying photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

My husband and I owned The Gallery in Bethel, Connecticut, which featured the work of iconic photographers such as Pete Turner, best known for his bold use of color, and Barbara Morgan, whose images of dancers include the iconic photograph Letter to the World, featuring Martha Graham.

I have worked with the International Center of Photography, The Lucie Foundation, and Kodak on their awards programs, a role that allowed me to meet many of the industry's most influential photographers—an experience that has profoundly shaped my artistic vision.

From 2016 to 2021, I studied with Peter Hurley, one of the world's leading headshot photographers and author of The Headshot: The Secrets to Creating Amazing Headshot Portraits.

After completing an intensive educational program with my mentor, Sandra Coan, focusing on light, exposure, naturally inspired posing, composition, processing, and consistency, I earned the designation of Sandra Coan Certified Photographer.
